Islamabad Winter Vacation 2024

Islamabad Winter Vacation 2024:

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) is preparing to announce Islamabad winter vacation 2024 schedule for schools and colleges. Traditionally, the FDE grants a one-week holiday during the peak of the winter season to provide relief from the cold weather.

Expected Dates for Winter Vacations in Islamabad

This year, winter vacations 2024 in Islamabad are anticipated to be observed from December 21 to December 29, with schools resuming on December 30. However, the break could be extended until December 31, allowing classes to restart on January 1, 2025.

Possible Changes to School Timings

Following the holidays, the FDE is expected to revise school timings, a routine practice to accommodate the shorter daylight hours during winter. The previous year, holidays for educational institutions in Islamabad were declared from December 25 to December 31.

Punjab to Follow with Winter Break Announcements

In Punjab, the Schools Education Department is also expected to release its winter vacation schedule shortly. Historically, schools in the province remain closed for two weeks in December to shield students from the harsh weather.
