LAHORE – A cold wave accompanied by foggy weather is expected to prevail in Lahore and several parts of Punjab on Sunday night, continuing through Monday and Tuesday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The PMD reports that continental air is dominating most parts of Pakistan, while a shallow westerly wave is influencing the western and upper regions of the country. These conditions are set to extend the current cold wave across Punjab, particularly in Lahore and surrounding districts.
Expected Weather Conditions
Very cold and partly cloudy conditions will continue in Murree and Galiyat, with freezing temperatures reported. Meanwhile, shallow to moderate fog patches are expected to form during the night and early morning in multiple cities, including Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Okara, Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan.

In Lahore, minimum temperatures are expected to range between 4-6°C on Monday and 5-7°C on Tuesday, with moderate relative humidity. In contrast, Murree has already experienced freezing temperatures, making it the coldest location in Punjab.

Cold and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of Punjab over the past 24 hours. Murree and the Galiyat experienced extremely cold conditions, with the temperature hitting 0°C.
