Lahore Punjab Weather Forecast: Smog to Persist in the Coming Days
Lahore and the plains of Punjab are expected to continue experiencing smog through Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday as cold and dry weather conditions persist in the region. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air is dominating the weather pattern over most of Pakistan, contributing to the prolonged smog conditions.
Weather Outlook for Lahore and Punjab
In the coming days, Lahore Punjab weather forecast predicts cold, dry conditions, with smog expected to persist across major districts like Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, Hafizabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, and Dera Ghazi Khan. These areas will likely face reduced visibility due to fog, especially during the morning and night hours.
Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely range between 11-13°C on Thursday and 10-12°C on Friday, while the region’s relative humidity is expected to remain high, contributing to the ongoing smog.
Cold and Dry Weather Prevails
Over the past 24 hours, the Lahore Punjab weather forecast revealed cold and dry conditions across Lahore and most districts of the province. Murree recorded the coldest temperature in Punjab, at 5°C, while Lahore’s minimum temperature was 12°C. Evening relative humidity in Lahore was reported at 88%.

Pollution Levels in Lahore
Despite a slight reduction in smog intensity, Lahore remains one of the most polluted cities in the world. According to IQAir, Lahore ranks third globally for air pollution, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 199 as of 8:06 pm. It follows Delhi, India (AQI 263), and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (AQI 252).
As the Lahore Punjab weather forecast suggests continued smog, residents are urged to take precautions, such as wearing masks and avoiding outdoor activities, particularly during early morning and late evening hours when fog and reduced visibility are at their worst.
