“Babar Azam on verge of surpassing Kohli and Sharma in T20I runs”

  • Babar Azam could surpass Virat Kohli.
  • Babar has scored 3,823 runs so far.
  • Pakistan will be playing series in Ireland and England.

This month, Pakistan is scheduled to play a total of seven T20Is against Ireland and England, presenting Babar with an excellent opportunity to surpass the Indian pair.

To match Sharma’s run tally, Babar needs just 151 more runs, while 215 additional runs would see him exceed Kohli’s total.

Earlier today, the Pakistan team departed for Dublin, Ireland, from Lahore via Dubai.

The Pakistan team is set to play three T20Is in, followed by four in England. After the series in England, the team will head to the United States to participate in the T20 World Cup.

The squad of 18 players, announced for the T20Is in Ireland and England, will be trimmed down to 15 players for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 following the first T20I against England on May 22.
